In private practice, every holiday means a pay cut. So, what can you do to plan for breaks in a sustainable manner?

  • Explore the emotions that come up for you that make it difficult to take a break, pauses are important!

  • Make a personalised holiday calendar for yourself.

  • Set your fee such that it accommodates holidays listed in your calendar.

  • Keep aside funds for emergencies that can lead to unforeseen breaks.
